About Us

"If we read backwards the story of the Tower of Babel, everything begins in some ruins where people from all over the world gathered bringing their music, cultures and unalike languages to find out that working together nothing can stop them from getting anything they set out. By rebuilding all together the Tower, confusion turns into unity as far as thay all share one common language that makes them strong and with which they restore their dreams as well.
Late in the evening they probably share a fresh sangría and celebrate their achievement."

Sangría project rises up from the union of young women specialised in different areas such as Spanish as a foreign language, History, Philosophy and Sociology.

The Sangría Method is based on uninhibition as learning condition, that is why our seminars start sharing a pitcher of fresh sangria. Maybe it is a symbolic element, sure, but it joins us as well and reminds us this intention. The standard teaching pattern “teaching-learning” prioritizes the memorisation of grammar and linguistic structures in detriment of emotional intelligence that ends up in mechanical and non communicative exercises. That is why the Sangría Method is based on the practice in real communicative situations, keeping in mind the priority of any use of the language over the study of the grammar and linguistic structures. The interaction will success and be profitable if the users of the language are not inhibited.

Uninhibition connects straight with our emotional intelligence, which we consider essential in learning a foreign language. Just awaking this intelligence, the interaction and language skills will be maximised in spontaneity and fluency.
